The Old Town Hall is considered one of Germany's most beautiful Renaissance buildings, constructed in 1556 according to plans by architect Hieronymus Lotter. The building now houses the Leipzig City History Museum showcasing the city's history from the Middle Ages to present day. Its distinctive mint-green clock tower dominates the Market Square.
