Housed in a beautifully restored Italianate palace, this excellent museum showcases Egypt's rich history from the Pharaonic era through the Hellenistic period under the Ptolemies, and onward to Byzantine and Islamic periods. Over 1,800 artifacts are displayed across three floors, organized chronologically.
