Only by plane from Santiago (LATAM, 5.5 hours). Flights 1-2 times daily. From $350 one way. Rare flights from Tahiti available.

Foreigners: $80 USD (or 54,000 CLP). Chileans: 20,000 CLP. Ticket valid for 10 days. Buy at airport on arrival or Ma u Henua office in Hanga Roa.

Yes! Since 2022, an accredited local guide is mandatory for most park sites. Only Tahai and Anakena beach can be visited without a guide.

NO! Strictly forbidden. A tourist was fined $17,000 for touching a moai. Touching, climbing, collecting stones is prohibited. Violation is a criminal offense.

Required: FUI form, accommodation booking at accredited hotel, return ticket (max 30 days on island). Without accommodation booking you wont board in Santiago!

Useful tips for visiting Easter Island

Bring cash from Santiago - ATMs on the island are often empty or not working

LATAM allows 2 checked bags to the island - bring food from Santiago, everything is expensive on the island

Book accommodation in advance - without confirmed booking you wont board the plane in Santiago

Rent transport - no public transport. Car $50-80/day, scooter $30-50, bicycle $15-25
