吉甘提亚神庙
The Ggantija Temples are a UNESCO World Heritage Site and among the oldest freestanding structures in the world, predating Stonehenge and the Egyptian pyramids by approximately 1,000 years. Built around 3600-3200 BC on the island of Gozo, these megalithic temples feature massive limestone blocks, some weighing over 50 tons. The name Ggantija comes from the Maltese word for giant, as local legend attributed their construction to a race of giants.
