Templo de São Sava
The Temple of Saint Sava is one of the largest Orthodox churches in the world and the largest in the Balkans, dedicated to the founder of the Serbian Orthodox Church. Built on Vracar plateau where Ottomans burned Saint Savas relics in 1595, construction began in 1935 but the interior mosaics were only completed in 2021. The church can accommodate 10,000 people and features stunning interior mosaics covering 15,000 square meters.
