Praça Skanderbeg
Skanderbeg Square is the main plaza and heart of Tirana, covering 40,000 square meters as the largest car-free public space in the Balkans. Named after Albanian national hero Gjergj Kastrioti Skanderbeg, it features his equestrian statue at center. The square was completely redesigned in 2017 and is surrounded by major landmarks including Ethem Bey Mosque, Clock Tower, and National Historical Museum.
