St. Peter's Church
St. Peter's Church is a Brabantine Gothic masterpiece rising on Grote Markt directly facing the famous Town Hall. Built over two centuries from the 15th century, it features its unfinished tower - the original tower collapsed in 1542 and was never completed. Inside, the church houses a museum of religious art containing Flemish masterpieces including Dirk Bouts' 'Last Supper'. Graceful columns extend to the high vaulted ceiling, creating a majestic spiritual atmosphere. A perfect place to understand Flemish art in its original context. The church's treasury contains precious medieval artifacts.
