The Madriu-Perafita-Claror Valley is Andorras only UNESCO World Heritage Site, designated in 2004 as a cultural landscape. Covering 4,247 hectares (9% of Andorra), this glacial valley offers a microcosmic perspective of how people have harvested Pyrenean mountain resources for millennia.
