Lauterbrunnen Valley
Lauterbrunnen Valley is a U-shaped glacial valley with 300-400 meter rock cliffs on both sides and over 72 waterfalls. This stunning landscape inspired Tolkien to create Rivendell in 'The Lord of the Rings'. The valley serves as the gateway to the villages of Mürren and Gimmelwald and to the Schilthorn summit. It is considered one of the most beautiful Alpine valleys and one of Switzerland's most photographed locations.
