Kawarau Bridge Bungee
Kawarau Bridge is the birthplace of commercial bungee jumping, where AJ Hackett launched the world's first commercial operation in 1988. The historic bridge stands 43 meters above the stunningly turquoise Kawarau River, offering an unforgettable jumping experience surrounded by spectacular alpine scenery. Jumpers can choose to touch the water during their descent, while spectators can watch the adventure for free from the viewing platform. The center includes a cafe, gift shop, and exhibition chronicling the history of this thrilling sport. The experience takes approximately two hours including registration, preparation, and the jump itself.
