Istana Nurul Iman
Istana Nurul Iman holds the Guinness World Record as the world's largest residential palace. Featuring 1,788 rooms, 257 bathrooms, and a mosque for 1,500 worshippers, it was built in 1984 at an estimated cost of $1.4 billion. The palace serves as the official residence of the Sultan of Brunei. It opens to the public only during Hari Raya Aidilfitri for three days, when visitors can shake hands with the Sultan and royal family.
