Finca Vigía - Hemingway House
Finca Vigía (Lookout Farm) was the home of American writer Ernest Hemingway for over 20 years, from 1939 until 1960. Built in 1886 on a hill about 13 km southeast of Havana, it preserves more than 22,000 items from Hemingway's life including photographs, private documents, over 7,000 books, and his Nobel Prize in Literature certificate. Visitors are not allowed inside the house but can look through the open windows and doors. The famous fishing yacht Pilar is displayed on the estate grounds.
