Wilanow Palace is a stunning 17th-century Baroque royal residence, often called the Polish Versailles. Built in 1677-1696 for King Jan III Sobieski, it is one of the few historic buildings in Warsaw that survived WWII intact. The palace features lavishly decorated interiors, a portrait gallery of Polish monarchs, beautiful formal gardens in Italian and English styles, and one of Polands first museums (established 1805). The summer illuminations are spectacular.

ヴィラヌフ宮殿は、第二次世界大戦をほぼ無傷で生き延びたワルシャワの数少ない歴史的建造物の一つです。王宮や旧市街とは異なり、破壊されず、17〜18世紀のオリジナルの建築と多くのオリジナルの調度品を保っています。
ヤン3世ソビエスキ（1629-1696）は、1683年のウィーンの戦いでオスマン・トルコを破り、中央ヨーロッパをオスマン帝国の拡大から救ったことで知られるポーランド王でした。彼はヴィラヌフを夏の住居として建設しました。
