The Palace of Culture and Science is Warsaws tallest building at 237 meters (including spire) and one of Europes tallest buildings. Built in 1952-1955 as a gift from the Soviet Union, this Stalinist architecture landmark contains theaters, cinemas, museums, offices, and a congress hall. Despite its controversial history as a symbol of Soviet domination, it remains Warsaws most recognizable building with a popular observation deck on the 30th floor.

1952年から1955年にソ連からポーランドへの贈り物として建設されました。当初はヨシフ・スターリン文化科学宮殿と呼ばれていましたが、1956年にスターリンの名前が削除されました。約3500人のソビエト労働者がわずか3年で建設しました。
