170-meter granite tower topped with a 20-meter torch, built in 1982 for Kim Il-sung's 70th birthday. The tower consists of 25,550 blocks - one for each day of his life. Observation deck offers panoramic views of Pyongyang. Symbol of North Korea's Juche ideology.
