रावण जलप्रपात
A 25-meter waterfall by the road between Ella and the coast — one of the island's most accessible and photogenic waterfalls. Ravana Falls is named after the demon-king from the Ramayana epic, who, according to legend, hid the kidnapped Princess Sita here.

According to Sri Lankans, King Ravana kidnapped Sita, wife of Prince Rama, and hid her in caves near this waterfall. The Ravana Ella Cave nearby is a separate attraction.
The Waterfall
Height about 25 meters, width up to 10 meters in rainy season. Natural pool below for swimming. Water is cool and refreshing. In dry season (January-March) flow is modest, in rainy season (May-November) — powerful.
Visiting
Located right by A23 road, 6 km from Ella. Free entry. Parking with token fee. Cafes, souvenirs, toilets available. Best in morning for fewer crowds.
How to Get There
From Ella — tuk-tuk (15-20 minutes, about 500 rupees) or bus toward Wellawaya.
