The Dimitrie Gusti National Village Museum is one of Europe largest and oldest open-air ethnographic museums, showcasing over 300 authentic peasant houses, farmsteads, windmills, watermills, and churches from all regions of Romania. Founded in 1936 in beautiful Herastrau Park along the lake shore, the museum preserves Romania rural heritage and traditional village life.
