Los puentes sobre el río Neva se levantan de noche (1-5am). Revisa el horario si te alojas en la Isla Vasilievsky.

This route reveals St. Petersburg's romantic side — a city of canals, gardens, and palaces. Start at the Church of the Savior on Spilled Blood, whose colorful domes reflect in the waters of Griboyedov Canal. The best time for photos is early morning when there are no tourist crowds. Nearby lies Mikhailovsky Garden — one of the city's oldest gardens, laid out under Peter I. It's pleasant to rest in the shade of century-old trees and admire the northern facade of the Russian Museum. In spring, the garden is awash with flowers, and in autumn, golden foliage creates a special atmosphere. Mikhailovsky (Engineers') Castle is St. Petersburg's most mystical building. Built for Emperor Paul I, it became the site of his assassination just 40 days after he moved in. The castle is surrounded by moats and has a unique layout — each facade differs from the others. Summer Garden is St. Petersburg's oldest garden, created by order of Peter I. Marble sculptures brought from Italy, fountains, and the famous fence make it a must-visit. Here you'll also find Peter's Summer Palace — a modest building by royal standards where you can see the emperor's personal belongings. Field of Mars is a memorial park where an Eternal Flame burns in memory of revolution victims. From here, you have a panoramic view of the Neva and Peter and Paul Fortress. Crossing Trinity Bridge, you'll reach the Peter and Paul Fortress — the city's founding site. Here you'll find the burial vault of Russian emperors, the Trubetskoy Bastion prison, and the Mint. Every day at noon, a cannon shot rings out from Naryshkin Bastion — a tradition over 300 years old.

Nevsky Prospekt is St. Petersburg's main artery, where the city's best architectural monuments, museums, and historical sites are concentrated. This route begins at the Hermitage — one of the world's largest museums with a collection of over three million exhibits. Palace Square in front of the Hermitage is a grand architectural ensemble with the Alexander Column at its center. This column, 47.5 meters tall, stands solely by its own weight — an engineering masterpiece of the 19th century. Imperial Russian parades were held here, and this is where the events of 1917 began. Walking along Nevsky, you'll pass the Admiralty with its famous ship-shaped spire — a symbol of Russia's naval glory. Next is Kazan Cathedral, built after the model of St. Peter's in Rome. Its colonnade of 96 columns impresses with its scale, and inside houses the icon of Our Lady of Kazan. Singer House is an Art Nouveau masterpiece, now the city's largest bookstore. Go up to the top floor cafe — from here you'll have the best view of Kazan Cathedral and Nevsky Prospekt. Turn toward the Church of the Savior on Spilled Blood — one of Russia's most beautiful cathedrals. It was built on the site where Emperor Alexander II was mortally wounded and amazes with mosaics covering more than 7,000 square meters. The Russian Museum in the Mikhailovsky Palace holds the largest collection of Russian art. Here you can see works by Repin, Surikov, Aivazovsky, and many other masters. End your walk at Anichkov Bridge with the famous horse tamer sculptures by Klodt. This is one of St. Petersburg's most photographed bridges.
