Zlatni Rt (Golden Cape) Forest Park
Zlatni Rt forest park, also known as Punta Corrente, is a 52-hectare nature reserve just 15 minutes walk from Rovinj Old Town. It was established in 1890 by Baron Georg Huetterott who planted over ten thousand trees of diverse species. The park features Aleppo pines, cypresses, and oleanders alongside rare species such as Himalayan cedars arranged in a six-pointed star pattern in the Punta Corrente meadow. Walking, jogging, and cycling trails crisscross the park, and rocky coves with crystal-clear water offer excellent swimming. Lone Bay and Skaraba beach are among the most popular bathing spots. The park has been protected since 1948 and provides a tranquil natural retreat within easy reach of town.
