Lake Zeller See
Lake Zeller See is a jewel of the Austrian Alps at 750m elevation, surrounded by majestic peaks including the Kitzsteinhorn glacier. The water has drinking water quality and reaches 23°C in summer - perfect for swimming. Three lidos (Zell am See, Thumersbach, Seespitz) offer heated pools, water slides, and children's facilities. Two free swimming areas (Wieshof and Erlberg) are also available. In summer, the Zeller Seezauber light show occurs three times weekly with colorful illuminated water fountains and lasers. Electric boats, pedal boats, kayaks, and stand-up paddleboards can be rented. A scenic lakeside promenade connects all areas. The lake is one of Austria's most beautiful, guarded by majestic peaks with crystal-clear water.
