Yanartaş (flaming stone) is a unique natural phenomenon where eternal flames have been burning from the mountainside for thousands of years. Natural gas seeps through rocks and burns continuously. Directly below the flames lie the ruins of the Temple of Hephaestus, Greek god of fire.
Parking fee approximately 10-20 TL. Museum Pass NOT valid
Evening or night for the most spectacular flame visibility. Hike takes 20-30 minutes from trailhead. Bring a flashlight/headlamp, water, and wear sturdy shoes.
