Plan a full day: 2.5 hours travel + 3-4 hours visit + 2.5 hours back. Leave Chongqing early morning (7-8 AM).
Many stairs and steep descents. Wear comfortable non-slip shoes! For elderly or mobility-impaired, sedan chair carriers available (100-200 CNY).
Cooler at the bottom of the gorge — bring a light jacket even in summer. Bring water and snacks, shops inside are expensive.
Can combine with Furong Ancient Town (芙蓉镇) or Furong Cave — but then need 2 days or very early start.
