Whitehaven Beach
Whitehaven Beach stretches over seven kilometers along Whitsunday Island, the largest of the 74 Whitsunday Islands. The sand contains 98% silica, making it extremely fine and cool underfoot - perfect for barefoot walking even on hot days. This stunning white beach is considered one of the world's most beautiful, where turquoise waters meet pristine white sand. Access is by boat, seaplane or helicopter from Airlie Beach or Hamilton Island, with day trips and overnight sailing experiences available.
