Wat Umong is a unique forest temple located at the foot of Doi Suthep mountain. Famous for its ancient meditation tunnels built in the 14th century by King Ku Na for a wandering monk. The tunnel system features ancient Buddhist paintings and shrines. Above ground, the temple has a large stupa and serene grounds with a lake and talking trees with Buddhist wisdom attached.
