Wat Chalong
Wat Chalong is Phuket's most important and most visited Buddhist temple, renowned for its magnificent traditional Thai architecture and spiritual atmosphere. The complex includes several sacred buildings including the Grand Pagoda, believed to house a fragment of Buddha's bone. The temple honors two revered monks who helped suppress a rebellion of Chinese tin miners in the 19th century. Worshippers come to pay respects, light incense, and seek fortune predictions through ritual practices.
