Vladivostok Fortress

One of the world's most powerful maritime fortresses, built 1889-1918. Consists of hundreds of concrete and earth fortifications spread across the city. Main museum in Bezymyannaya Battery shows underground tunnels, artillery positions, and military history.

How to Get There

Located in central Vladivostok. From railway station — buses 31, 39, 45, 54, 55, 62, 81 to 'Korabelnaya Embankment' or 'Lazo' stop, then 5-10 min walk. Main fort (#7) on Eagle's Nest Hill. Fortification Museum at Bezymyannaya Battery — bus to 'Sportivnaya'.
