The Visby city wall is one of the best-preserved medieval walls in Northern Europe, stretching 3.5 km around the old town. Built in the 13th century to protect the wealthy Hanseatic city, it features 27 towers and multiple gates. UNESCO World Heritage listed since 1995. Visitors can walk along most of the wall, enjoying panoramic views of the city and Baltic Sea.
