Villa Carlotta is a 17th-century palace housing an art museum and exceptional 8-hectare botanical garden. Named after Princess Charlotte who received it as a wedding gift in 1843. Famous for azalea and rhododendron blooms in spring, with sculptures by Canova and Thorvaldsen inside the palace.

Mid-April to mid-May for peak azalea blooms. Morning for best garden light. Allow 2-3 hours for full visit.
