Via Dolorosa
The Via Dolorosa is the traditional path that Jesus Christ walked while carrying his cross to the crucifixion site at Golgotha. The route stretches approximately 600 meters through the Old City and includes 14 Stations of the Cross marking different events of his final journey. The path begins at the Omariya School where Jesus was condemned and ends at the Church of the Holy Sepulchre. Every Friday, Franciscan monks lead a procession along the route, retracing the steps of Christ's passion.
