Vevey
A charming town on Lake Geneva, home to Charlie Chaplin for 25 years until his death in 1977. Famous for the Alimentarium food museum run by Nestle, the traditional farmers' market, and the giant fork sculpture in the lake. The historic old town features beautiful squares, cafes, and boutiques. Host of the Fete des Vignerons wine festival every 20 years (next edition TBD). Quieter and less crowded than neighboring Montreux. The Nestle headquarters add an interesting industrial heritage to this cultural gem. Chaplin's World museum is a short drive away.
