Ubud Royal Palace
Ubud Royal Palace, known locally as Puri Saren Agung, is a historic palace complex in the heart of Ubud opposite the traditional market. Built in the early 19th century, it was the seat of the Ubud royal family who still resides in the rear portion of the complex. Visitors can explore the front courtyards for free and admire the exquisite traditional Balinese architecture with ornate gates and stone carvings. Every evening, traditional dance performances are held in the palace grounds for a separate fee. The palace represents the cultural heart of Ubud.
