16th-century fortress built to defend Moscow's southern frontier. One of few Russian kremlins in lowland setting. Nine towers and walls preserve medieval character. Houses Assumption Cathedral and multiple museums. Recently restored with modern museum complex.
From Tula-1 railway station: buses 16, 18, 28 or tram 14 to Lenin Square stop (10-15 minutes). Walk from station about 20 minutes. The Kremlin is in the city center on Lenin Square. By taxi from station 5-10 minutes. Parking on adjacent streets (Mendeleevskaya, Sovetskaya). Entry to Kremlin grounds is free.

Tula Kremlin from 16th century is one of the oldest in Russia. Kremlin grounds open until 22:00 in summer, 20:00 in winter. Museums inside follow the schedule above. Assumption Cathedral, Weapons Museum (old building), exhibitions. Last Tuesday of month - closed for cleaning.
