Tower of London

The Tower of London is a historic castle and UNESCO World Heritage Site founded in 1066 by William the Conqueror. Over its nearly 1,000-year history, it has served as a royal residence, prison, treasury, armory, and even a zoo. Today it houses the Crown Jewels, the priceless collection of royal ceremonial objects. The iconic Yeoman Warders (Beefeaters) guard the Tower and lead fascinating tours sharing tales of imprisonment, execution, and intrigue.
