Tortuga Bay Marine Iguanas
Tortuga Bay is home to the unique Galapagos marine iguanas - the world's only ocean-going lizards. These dark-colored reptiles are seen basking on white sand or black rocks, or swimming gracefully in turquoise waters. The 2.5 km paved path from Puerto Ayora leads through a cactus forest to one of the most beautiful beaches. The calm Playa Mansa area is perfect for swimming and snorkeling among marine iguanas, sea turtles, and sea lions.
