Todai-ji Temple
Todai-ji Temple houses the world's largest bronze Buddha statue, standing 15 meters tall and weighing 500 tons. The wooden hall surrounding it is considered the largest wooden building in the world, though it is only two-thirds of its original 8th-century size. A UNESCO World Heritage Site and spiritual symbol of Nara, the temple attracts millions of visitors annually who come to experience the monumental Buddhist architecture and meditative atmosphere.
