Tirta Empul Temple
Tirta Empul Temple is one of Bali's most sacred sites, famous for its holy spring where Balinese and visitors come for traditional purification rituals. The temple dates back to 926 AD during the Warmadewa dynasty reign, making it over 1,000 years old. Sacred water flows through 30 fountains, each with its own spiritual significance. Visitors can participate in the Melukat purification ritual by wearing a sarong and submerging under each fountain. The experience is both culturally significant and spiritually transformative.
