Theatro Circo is considered one of Portugals most beautiful theatres, inaugurated in 1915. After an intense refurbishment lasting over seven years, it reopened in 2006. The Main Hall is a stunning four-level auditorium with 897 fixed seats featuring characteristic red and gold interiors. The theatre hosts music, dance, and theatrical performances. Guided tours last 45 minutes and cost 3.50 EUR for adults. Since 2015, it has been part of the European Route of Historic Theatres.
