Thean Hou Temple
Thean Hou Temple is one of the largest Chinese temples in Southeast Asia, a six-tiered structure perched on Robson Hill with panoramic views of Kuala Lumpur. Built in 1989 in traditional Chinese style, it is dedicated to the Chinese sea goddess Mazu (Thean Hou). Features ornate red roofs, carved pillars, colorful dragons, and hundreds of lanterns. Houses shrines to three goddesses: Thean Hou, Guan Yin, and Shui Xian. During Chinese festivals like Lunar New Year and Moon Festival, it transforms into a magical sight with thousands of lit lanterns.
