The icon of Petra and Jordan, the Treasury is a 40-meter rock-carved facade dating to the 1st century BC. Carved from pink sandstone, it was originally a mausoleum for Nabataean King Aretas IV. It gained worldwide fame from the Indiana Jones film. Its color changes beautifully with sunlight throughout the day.
