The Monastery (Ad-Deir)
Larger than the Treasury at 50 meters tall, the Monastery is a stunning architectural achievement requiring an 800-step climb to reach. Built in the 1st century as a Nabataean temple, it was later converted to a Byzantine church. Panoramic views from the top extend to Wadi Araba. A small cafe beside it serves Bedouin tea with an unmatched view.
