Weekdays less crowded. Sunset beautiful from terraces. Saturday free parking after 3pm (but very crowded). Full visit takes 3-4 hours.
How to Get There
By car via I-405 (parking $20, book online ahead!). Metro bus 761 from Westwood. Parking reservation required on weekends.
What to Expect
Five pavilions with art from Medieval to modern. Cactus garden and Robert Irwin's central garden. Panoramic city views. Cafe and restaurant. All free except parking.
Best Photo Spot
Central garden — maze of plants. Terrace with LA view. White buildings against sky. Tram ascending the hill.
