Taiyuin Mausoleum
Taiyuin is the mausoleum of the third Tokugawa shogun Iemitsu, grandson of Ieyasu. Built to face Toshogu out of respect for his grandfather, it is intentionally less ornate but shares the same exquisite craftsmanship. The site is less crowded than Toshogu and offers a more intimate experience with stunning Edo-period architecture.
