Iconic Neo-Gothic castle perched on a 40-meter cliff over the Black Sea. Built in 1912, it's the most photographed symbol of Crimea. Small interior hosts art exhibitions, but the dramatic clifftop location and sea views are the main attraction.
From Yalta: bus 102 or minibus from bus station to Gaspra village (about 20 minutes), Swallows Nest stop. Also can take a pleasure boat from Yalta port (30-40 minutes). By taxi from Yalta about 15-20 minutes. By car: via Yalta-Sevastopol highway to Gaspra turn. Paid parking. A long staircase leads to the castle (about 1200 steps) or you can use an elevator (fee).
