Sulamani Temple
Sulamani Temple, known as the 'Crowning Jewel', was built by King Narapatisithu in 1183. It features magnificent frescoes and intricate stucco decorations that rank among Bagan's finest artwork. The temple suffered severe damage in the 2016 earthquake when its main spire collapsed, and restoration continues through 2025. The ground floor and some interior areas are accessible to visitors. The nearby Sulamani Hill View Point has become the most popular sunset-watching spot in Bagan since the climbing ban on temples was enforced
