Stortorget is Malmö's main square and historic center since 1540. It features the magnificent Town Hall with its Renaissance facade, the historic Apoteket Lejonet (Sweden's oldest pharmacy since 1571), and the statue of King Charles X. It served as a market square for centuries and witnessed important historical events. In the center is a beautiful fountain surrounded by colorful historic buildings.
