Staubbach Falls
Staubbach Falls is one of Switzerland's highest free-falling waterfalls, plunging 297 meters from a vertical cliff face in the heart of Lauterbrunnen village. On sunny days, the water spray disperses like dust (Staub in German), giving the falls its name. This waterfall inspired Goethe's famous poem 'Song of the Spirits over the Waters'. A trail behind the falls offers a unique experience of walking through the mist.
