St. Michael's Bridge
St. Michael's Bridge is Ghent's most famous viewpoint, where you can see three historic towers in one frame: St. Nicholas' Church, the Belfry, and St. Bavo's Cathedral. The current bridge was built in 1905, replacing a 13th-century bridge. On clear days, photographers line up to capture this iconic view, especially at sunset when the towers glow golden. Boat tours along the historic waterways depart from here. The bridge itself is decorated with statues of St. Michael and the dragon. A perfect starting point to explore the historic city center. The view has graced countless postcards and travel guides.
