St. Mauritius Church
The main church of Zermatt, built in 1913 with roots going back to the 13th century. Its distinctive tower is visible from all over the village and has become a symbol of Zermatt. Inside, beautiful 18th-century altars and baptismal font can be admired. The church seats about 480 people and is a popular wedding venue. The church is listed as a Swiss cultural property of regional significance.
