South Kaibab Trail follows a ridge line offering unparalleled 360-degree panoramic views into the canyon. Unlike Bright Angel, there is no shade or water along the trail making it more challenging. Ooh Aah Point at 0.9 miles is a popular short destination with stunning views. Cedar Ridge at 1.5 miles is an excellent full-day turnaround point. The trail is steeper and more exposed than Bright Angel.
