Seokguram Grotto
Seokguram Grotto is an artificial Buddhist cave and UNESCO World Heritage Site featuring the famous seated Buddha statue carved from white granite. Built in the 8th century on the summit of Mount Toham, it is considered one of the greatest artistic achievements in the Buddhist world. The main Buddha statue stands 3.5 meters tall and faces the sunrise over the East Sea. The remarkable geometric design of the cave creates perfect natural lighting on the statue's face.
